Dr. Faisal Alqahtani is a partner at SADRA Consulting and project leader in advising regional clients from both the public and private sectors on various issues related to financial and economic policies, corporate finance, Islamic banking and finance, insurance, assets pricing, energy finance, and privatization. Currently, he is a senior financial economist at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). As well, he served as a financial & economic policies advisor at Macroeconomic and Fiscal Policies Deputyship, Ministry of Finance, Saudi Arabia. He also served as an assistant professor of finance at Taibah University in Saudi Arabia, and a visiting researcher at the Europe Institute of the University of Auckland. His research areas of interest rely within corporate finance, banking, Islamic finance, insurance, Middle Eastern studies, global financial crises, assets pricing, energy finance, privatization and ownership structure and managed to published over 20 research articles which appear in leading international peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Alqahtani holds a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, and obtained his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
