Dr. Hesham Albarrak is a founding partner of SADRA Consulting and project leader in both public and private sectors in financial and managerial accounting, and economics services. His expertise includes accounting information systems, sustainability accounting, financial planning and capital budgeting, internal audit, IFRS and IPSAS reporting systems, strategic management accounting and the balanced scorecard. Currently he is as an assistant professor of accounting at Alfaisal University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Albarrak is a member of several committees, including audit committees in joint-stock firms and public entities, research funding committee, and the chair of Muhammad Al-Rashed Research Fund for Banking Studies at Imam University. As well, he is a member of Sharia committee at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, a member of academic advisory committees for the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), and Bankruptcy Commission. He is also a board member in a start-up business that provides web-based accounting solutions. He served as the head of the accounting department at Imam University and Arab East Colleges. Dr. Albarrak obtained his PhD in accounting from Griffith University, Australia.
